As a Pennsylvanian, Ohio is just a jump, skip and a jump away from me. That is why I’ve compiled this list of climbing gyms in Western Ohio for me to visit the next time I am in the area. If you’re an Ohio native or a visitor, I know you’ll love this list too! Who knows, maybe you’ll even find your new rock gym.

The Urban Krag Climbing Center, Chambers Purely Boulders and Climb Time are just a few of the rock-climbing gyms in the area. Be sure to read to the end to discover all 8 of them!

Urban Krag Climbing Center – Dayton, Ohio

By far the most beautiful rock gym I’ve come across in my research is the Urban Krag Climbing Center. Located in what once was an abandoned church, you can find this climbing gym at 125 Clay Street in Dayton, Ohio.

In addition to over 10,000 square feet of climbing space, their rock gym also offers many fun events including a night where members set the routes, a crate stacking night and product demos.

Their pricing is as follows; $17 for a day pass, $62 for a monthly membership, and $560 for a yearly membership. Be sure to ask about their youth and family discounts!

Climb Toledo – Toledo, Ohio

Climb Toledo is a small bouldering gym located at 3204 Maple Street in Toledo, Ohio. It started off in the downstairs of the owners apartment but has since upgraded to what used to be an old-fashioned barbershop. The owners and their friends and family then would renovate the space themselves, and thus Climb Toledo was reborn!

Climb Toledo is by far one of the most affordable gyms of the area with day passes starting at only $10. A monthly membership can be purchased for $30. Climb Toledo is shutting down in November of 2023, but I decided to share this location with you regardless as they plan to host pop-up events which will be announced on their social media.
