While doing my research on the climbing gyms of the United States, it naturally struck my curiosity as to how many climbing gyms are in North Carolina. I was pleasantly surprised to learn that this state is home to many climbing gyms, so many that we had to divide this post into two: Climbing Gyms of Western North Carolina (this article) and Climbing Gyms of Eastern North Carolina. We’re sure you’ll find a rock gym for you.

Bigfoot Climbing Gym, The Ultimate Climbing Gym and Inner Peaks Climbing are among the many rock-climbing gyms of the western part of this state. Be sure to stick around to the end to discover all 10 of them.

Bigfoot Climbing Gym – Morganton, North Carolina
