A fun fact about me is that I am moving to Colorado next year with my partner Kayla! Because of this, I have started to research the rock gyms of the area in hopes to find one climbing gym I can establish my climbing practice in.

Eagle Climbing and Fitness, Summit Climbing Gym and Grand Valley Climbing are just a few of the gyms I have found in my research. Stick around to the end to learn of all six of them.

Eagle Climbing and Fitness – Eagle Colorado

Eagle Climbing and Fitness can be found at 700 Chambers Avenue Unit A7 in Eagle, Colorado. Some of the many amenities of this facility include top rope climbing, bouldering, lead climbing, general fitness equipment, a yoga studio and climbing classes.

The pricing of this climbing gym is as follows: $22 for a day pass, $200 for a 10-punch pass, $89 for a monthly membership, and $975 for an annual membership. Be sure to ask what discounts are available to you if you are a student, youth, in the military, a teacher, a family or a first responder.

By opting for a membership, you gain access to unlimited climbing and yoga, discounted climbing workshops, free yoga classes, discounted day prices, and 10% off in their gear shop.

As a member of Eagle Climbing and Fitness you also gain access to exclusive discounts at partnering locations. Alpine Quest Sports, Fledge Wellness, Moe’s BBQ, Open Valley Acupuncture and Stout House Coffee and Kitchen are just a few of their names.

Summit Climbing Gym – Silverthorne, Colorado

The Summit Climbing Gym is located at 1291 Blue River Parkway in Silverthorne, Colorado. This rock climbing gym is a co-op facility meaning that it is as their website says, “member owned and operated”.

Because of this, the Summit Climbing Gym does not offer day passes, but they do offer guest passes for those who are attending with a member. Guest passes cost $20. They also offer 3 forms of membership: a monthly membership for $75, a 6-month membership for $430 and an annual membership for $750. In addition, for the base cost there is an additional onetime $50 initiation fee. If you are a family, consider choosing their annual family membership. For $1,500, you, your partner and dependents can all join the fun.

Grand Valley Climbing – Grand Junction, Colorado

Grand Valley Climbing is located at 611 25 Road in Grand Junction, Colorado. Some of these facilities many amenities include 14,000 square feet of climbing space, a yoga studio, climbing classes, auto-belay stations, 1,000 square feet of spectator space, and a gear shop.

The pricing of this climbing gym is as follows: day pass ($24), 10-pass punch ($210), monthly membership ($83 plus a $60 initiation fee), and an annual membership ($915). Some perks of opting for a membership at Grand Valley Climbing include unlimited climbing, yoga classes, introduction classes, 15% discount of some items from their gear shop, free gear rentals in the first month of membership, 1 guest pass per month.

BV Peak Fitness – Buena Vista, Colorado

BV Peak Fitness is located at 620 Antero Circle in Buena Vista, Colorado. This 7,500 square foot facility has many amenities including 4 auto belay stations, bouldering walls, lead climbing walls, top-tope stations, over 30 weekly fitness classes, general fitness equipment and a gear shop.

Day passes at this climbing gym can be purchased for $20. This facility also offers 4 tiers of memberships, a monthly membership for $49, a quarterly membership for $138, a semi-annual membership for $264 and an annual membership for $490. When you opt for a membership, you gain 24/7 access to the facility and all group fitness classes.

Grip Bouldering – Grand Junction, Colorado

Grip Bouldering can be found at 716 Scarlet Street in Grand Junction, Colorado. This bouldering gym is able to accommodate 70-80 hand-picked bouldering routes suitable for beginners to advanced climbers.

Day passes are typically $18, however, every second Saturday of each month they host a $5 day pass event. 10 punch passes can be bought for $150. Monthly memberships start at $59 per month while annual memberships start at $637.

Aspen Recreation Center – Aspen, Colorado

The Aspen Recreation Center is located at 130 South Galena Street in Aspen, Colorado. This facility is able to accommodate 3,100 square feet of climbing space, a hang board and a campus board. According to their website, a kilter board will be joining their facility in the Winter of 2023!

Day passes at this climbing gym can be purchased for $28. Discounts are available for seniors and children. This area is free is you are a member of the Aspen Recreation Center. Monthly memberships can be purchased for as little as $118 per month while annual memberships can be purchased for as little as $520.
